- Have you actually got the rotate FX on was that just an example? All I
- can think of is if you have got this FX on then make sure you are going
- to frame 1. Also I find that if I want a cube to rotate over 360 degrees
- and I put rotate FX on in the action editor, when I go to the stage
- editor it will already be slightly rotated. This is because if you start
- at 0 degrees and at the last frame it has rotated 360 degrees, which
- will leave it in the same postion as 0 degrees, then you would have two
- frames with the objectin the same position. This means that there will
- be a pause if you wanted to loop the animation. To counter act this the
- rotate FX spaces it out so that the objects starts slightly rotated and
- then on the very last frame it is at 0 degrees, i.e it is exactly as you
- left it before you applied the stage FX. You can test this by going to
- the last frame and if it looks the same as before you applied the rotate
- FX this is your problem. I don't know how you fix this, presumably you
- would set rotate FX up differently so that it either it started at a few
- degrees before 0 so that it calculated it and when you go to the stage
- editor the object would be as you want it.
- If this is a looping animation then it shouldn't matter, people
- probably won't notice that it isn't straight for the first frame and
- then as it loops it will just look smooth and nice.
- If this doesn't work or isn't the problem then try clicking save
- changes whenever you exit an editor.

- I actually found a way round this;it may not be the best way and is
- causing me more trouble (see my other posting). As it is not a looping
- animation I found that if I started the animation on frame 2 instead of
- frame one,it was good enough for my needs. My main problem was that
- because of the "offset" on frame 1 I was having trouble lining up the
- other objects.
-
- Once again thanks
